Iran: USA 'must stop bullying' say... Share
Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi hit back after NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg raised concerns about Tehran’s missile program and its activities in the wider Middle East region.
Mr Qassemi said Iran dismissed NATO’s “unwarranted” fears and said Washington’s “unilateral and dangerous” policies and its regular violation of international commitments were a greater cause for concern.
He insisted Iran had played an effective role in driving extremist terror groups such as ISIS from the region and said the Islamic Republic had itself been a major victim of terrorism.
He said: “Contrary to the NATO secretary general’s remarks, Iran’s constructive role in creating stability in the Persian Gulf and Middle East region has been acknowledged by most of the international community.
